What is the difference between the 'Insanity Pylons' brand of ski pylons and the other guys'?
a.gif
There are a few main reasons that set us apart from the competition: versatility, compatibility, affordability, and service.

First, Versatility. When we created the Insanity Pylon, we pioneered a radically new concept that uses a portable base and an adjustable support system so you never have to permanently alter anything on your boat. Set-up is quick and easy, and doesn't require any tools. The Insanity Pylon comes ready to go, right out of the box!

Second, Compatibility. Our pylons are engineered to be completely universal and will fit ANY ski boat, plus it doesn't require any permanent or lengthy installation! We believe that if you want a pylon on your boat, you shouldn't have to sacrifice the value of your boat in the process. You can set up our Original Insanity Pylon for two different heights (6' & 7') to fit your style. It's like having two pylons in one! Or you can try our new 6' iPylon that is priced around $300 and is designed for smaller boats and smaller budgets. You can always add extensions to get the height you want!

Third, Affordability. Our Original Insanity Pylon is by far the best bang for your buck for any brand. For nearly the same as you would pay for a traditional pylon, you can get a complete pylon system that is easier to use, stronger, safer, and completely universal (compared to other so called "universal" pylons that require cutting and drilling holes into your boat). By using high-strength T6 aircraft aluminum, our pylons are less expensive, and built to last a lifetime and come with an unparalled warranty!

Fourth, Service. We believe that service isn't just nine-to-five. If you call our customer support team, we'll be more than happy to answer your call any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We believe that since you are loyal enough to buy our products, the least we can do is answer your questions on your schedule.

Will the Insanity Pylon fit on my boat?
a.gif
YES! Our Insanity Pylons are completely universal and do not require any permanent installation. Our pylons can fit any boat as small as 14 feet or as long as 35 feet, or greater! including: cuddy cabins, fishing/center console boats (see not below), runabouts, bowriders, and most popular styles.

We also have a new tower for boats that have the driver positioned in the middle of the boat (such as fishing vessels) that works off the same concept as our pylons without drilling or modifying your boat! Check out the Insanity Tower in the online store!

My boat came with a base plate that was for the boat's original stock pylon (or fishing seat). Can I use the existing base plate instead of the Insanity Pylon's base? Do you sell any adapters?
a.gif
Yes, you can use an adapter to make it possible to use your boat's existing stock base plate instead of the one that comes with the Insanity Pylon, however it may cost extra (it's not usually expensive). The Insanity Pylon's warranty does not cover damage caused by use of any adapters other than those made by Insanity Pylons, and consequently, does not cover incidental damage to your boat's existing base plate. For us to find the best adapter to fit your need, we'll need some accurate measurements, and some photos of the plate to make sure the adapter works properly.

I lost a part that goes to my Insanity Pylon. Where can I get another one?
a.gif
If you ever lose or break a part to your Insanity Pylon, you can purchase replacement parts from us, or you can contact your dealer for a replacement part. Remember, our Insanity Pylons also carry a full unconditional replacement on all carabiners, snap hooks, tie downs, aluminum parts, bolts, and thumb screws, should they ever become worn out or compromised. We want you to play safe and have fun, that's why we offer this free service (may require worn part in exchange, shipping charges may apply). The Insanity Pylon's lifetime warranty covers everything except the fabric and padding (which can be replaced at low cost to make you pylon look like new).

How strong is the Insanity Pylon? Is it strong enough to tow a slalom skier? Multiple skiiers? How about a tube?
a.gif
The Insanity Pylon is actually very strong. The majority of the tow-load (skier) is placed on the long ratcheting strap that goes from the front of the boat to the top of the pylon. The minimum breaking strength on all our Insanity Pylons is 1500 pounds, which is more than sufficient for most skiiers. The Insanity Pylons and iPylons share the same tie down straps which are maximum rated at 1,500 pounds (680 kg). As far as using the pylon for slalom skiing, kneeboarding, air chair, or pulling a tube (or other inflatables), the pylon can take any reasonable load safely.

Our decision to discourage the use of towables (tubes) and multiple skiiers has nothing to do with the load ratings of the pylons we manufacture, as we are more concerned for the safety of those at the end of the ski rope. We genuinely want you, your family, and friends to continue to enjoy the water with years to come, but history long before the first wakeboard pylon ever existed has proved that serious injury and even death can occur when skiiers collide or a child gets trapped under a flipped tube. We have been very fortunate to have an immaculate safety record with no reported injuries and we prefer to keep it that way #=D

All our products feature 1" premium high-strength straps with lifetime warranty.
